At last year’s AGM, members voted overwhelmingly in favour of changing the name of the Credit Union to Tallaght & Firhouse Credit Union. We are pleased to confirm that this new name will take effect from 9th March 2026.
This change reflects our commitment to continued growth, stronger community identity, and enhanced services for our members. Over the coming months, you will see further improvements designed to modernise our brand, improve your experience, and ensure we are well positioned to serve our communities into the future.
Today, we want to share with you how we are refreshing our look — and we’re excited to share the story behind the new logo and refreshed brand identity of Tallaght and Firhouse Credit Union.
This update isn’t about changing who we are, or the people behind the brand. It’s about expressing who we are more clearly.
We began by listening — to our members, our team across the credit union, and the values that have shaped us from the very beginning. We reflected on where we come from, the forces that bring us together, and the personality at the heart of our credit union.
From there, we explored how our visual identity could better reflect our purpose. We refined our colours to feel more confident and modern, updated our typography for greater clarity and accessibility, and simplified our logo so it works beautifully everywhere — from your mobile screen to our internal and external branding.
Our logo: what it represents
At the heart of our new logo is the core concept of the global credit union symbol — representing people and community around the world.
Members & Community
The figures represent the members of the credit union — everyday people who own and shape the organisation. Credit unions exist for people, not shareholders.
Co-operation & Mutual Support
The connected figures reflect the cooperative model: people helping people, pooling resources, and supporting one another.
Inclusion & Diversity
The multiple figures symbolise openness and belonging. Credit unions welcome people from all walks of life.
The figures merge into a single, rooted form — almost like a plant growing upward — symbolising strength, growth, and shared progress.
Colour psychology
Green → growth, stability, trust, finance
Yellow → optimism, positivity, warmth
Red → energy, action, community involvement
Together, the palette is designed to feel inclusive, friendly, and community-focused — not cold or corporate.
Every detail was intentional. We tested designs across real-world applications, gathered feedback from a wide range of members and communities, and made thoughtful refinements to ensure the final look feels familiar yet refreshed — the same credit union you trust, with a clearer and more confident voice.
Our new logo represents our commitment to evolve while staying true to what matters most: delivering quality, care, and consistency at every step.
